Other perks include longer battery life, improved speakers and microphones, a brighter 13-inch screen, and a Touch Bar at the top of the keyboard (if you consider that a perk). It's faster than most Windows laptops too. We haven't tested it yet, but it's the model to buy if you often use more intensive applications, like video editing or coding software. However, it has a fan that lets the processor get a little warmer and eke out more power over a longer period of time.
The new MacBook Pro with M1 isn't dramatically speedier than the MacBook Air.
